Happy Birthday Roald Dahl!

Your magnificent stories continue to inspire children young and old <3

I can't wait to celebrate Roald Dahl day in my own classroom. Reading should be a joy.
If I knew which box my Roald Dahl books were buried in I would go looking. I Don't believe I have ever read James and the Giant Peach so should get on to that. 

My favourites were Matilda and George's Marvellous Medicine, how about yourself?

Ginger Foxes: The Character edition

When it comes to cartoons there are a busload of red heads to be found, Yosemite Sam, Wilma & Pebbles Flinstone, Daphne from Scooby Doo, Chuckie from Rugrats, Kim Possible, Ariel and the list goes on..

My favourite telly shows both contain gingers, one whom I completely detest - Owen Hunt

 and the other who is pretty bland - Amy Pond. But young Amelia Pond was pretty awesome and made the transition between Doctors easier to cope with in this scene.

Then there are the books.. Ms. Frizzle from the Magic School Bus series, probably the most awesome and best dressed teacher ever. You know I am right. 

And my personal favourite, The Weasley family from J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series. Especially the twins, Fred and George.

Birthday Wishes

Getting old tomorrow. My two impossible birthday wishes were Jarvis and Pottermore access. One of the two just came true. Obviously not Jarvis, but I did get a beautiful Jarvis birthday card <3 <3 <3
